Leaving the pharmaceutical industry
After gaining a Master’s Degree in Chemistry, I went on to work in the pharmaceutical industry, in a lab that synthesised radioactive API’s (active pharmaceutical ingredients) for clinical trials.
As someone with a deep passion for science and its application to improve human health, this initially seemed like a good fit, it became clear that many health-related issues people face today could be solved with lifestyle changes, without the need for pharmaceutical interventions.
We must address the root causes of ill-health, in the way we live, from our diet, how we move (or don’t move!) and the way we handle stress.
A holistic ethos
I help people transform their health and how they feel in their bodies through a holistic, science-based approach that encourages people to improve each variable that contributes to the overall sum of their health.
Together, we will focus on:
Strength training that builds muscle, increases bone density and expands range of motion through natural movement patterns
Nervous system regulation to manage stress levels, improve performance and recovery
Nutrition to fuel the body with high-quality nutrients to balance energy levels
Supplementation to fill gaps within the diet
Improving mindset, thought patterns and limiting beliefs
